Marzz

Marzz, a rising R&B singer/songwriter from Louisville, KY, invites listeners to explore tomorrow's world through her music. Inspired by Mars’ fiery-red intensity, she encourages embracing uniqueness. Born Laria McCormick, Marzz grew up in a religious family, singing in the church choir from age four. Suppressing her queer identity under church pressures, she found solace in both secular and gospel music, influenced by artists like Beyoncé and Lauryn Hill. Initially considering bible college, Marzz chose music after coming out in high school and gaining confidence. She turned her notebook scribbles into R&B freestyles on Instagram, catching the attention of legendary producer Timbaland in late 2019. As her fan base grows, Marzz hopes her music sparks listeners’ imaginations, creating their own narratives.
