Game terms
- Record
A game card: a real song from YouTube Music, with its cover art, artist, album and certification. It plays in the YouTube player embedded in the card.
- Pack
The game’s card pack: 5 records pulled at random, at the published odds. One free pack every 10 minutes, up to 5 in stock. Packs can’t be bought.
- Popularity index
An index from 0 to 1,000,000 computed for each song: mostly its plays on YouTube Music, plus a small share for its artist’s reach. Split into six bands, it sets the certification, which follows the song’s popularity.
- Collection
All of a player’s records, sorted by artist, album or certification, duplicates included.
- Wantlist
A list of wanted songs, added one by one or imported from a public YouTube Music, YouTube, Deezer or Spotify playlist, or from Apple Music once connected.
- Pressing
Once an album of at least 5 tracks or an EP of at least 3 tracks is complete in your collection, you press it and earn a trophy, XP and royalties.
- Royalties
The game’s currency, earned by playing: record shop resales (1 R per record), pressings, quests and auctions. It can’t be bought and is never converted into money.
- Auctions
The player market, open from level 5: a record put up for auction goes to the highest bidder, in royalties, with no fee.
- Early fan
Badge on a record you got before the song took off: since then, its certification has climbed at least 2 steps, to Gold Record or higher.
